About Joint Ventures
The Why

Ever since I was a child, animals have been a massive part of my life and my family. Especially horses. Every waking moment was to be spent in their presence, and if that wasn't possible I would pretend I was one... Often ruining my mother's garden pottery in the search of suitable show jumps so me in my sister could "do some schooling".

As the years have drawn on, I have had the fortunate pleasure of bringing on and working with many of my own horses. However, one opposing view I have faced in this culture was working resistant horses without consideration for pain. Often times one was expected to "ride through" a frequently occurring situation were a horse was sticking up or resistant to perform an action on multiple occasions. In the back of my head, these methods bothered me...

My work with horses continued after-hours when I got a job working for an SPCA. Some days were hard, saying goodbye to a life was always difficult, no matter how recently acquainted. Staff and volunteers here helped as best an possible on a minimal budget but often these animals came in with disabilities that prevented or limited their adoption potential.

Spurred into a direction to better understand the inner workings of animals and how to help them, I found my passion in veterinary physiotherapy. After graduating a 4 year BSc course in veterinary physiotherapy in 2021 from Equine Librium College, I started Joint Ventures Veterinary Physiotherapy.
The How
Now you've heard my "Why", I'm going to give you the "How".
Through my physiotherapy treatments, I intend to offer an integrated approach to animal wellness that focuses on rehabilitation and prevention of dysfunction. By adhering to this philosophy, I hope to prevent pain, boost performance and enhance longevity for the furry person in your life.
